Inktober Day 16 – Angular

I was pondering what to draw for this topic, and wasn’t really coming up with anything I liked. I started looking through photos that I took this summer to try and spark some ideas, and I came across one I had taken of some dried out old trees with a raven in the branches by the edge of the Grand Canyon. I thought, “Hey, those dead tree branches are pretty angular. And it’s kind of creepy looking – perfect for a Halloween vibe illustration!” And presto! Black and orange ink with a brush on watercolor paper.
